This place is absolutely fantastic! The owner and his son are incredibly kind, calm, and treat their guests like family, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect – nestled in a peaceful, quiet area with no disturbances, yet close enough to town for convenience. The weather is cool and refreshing, and the balcony views are simply breathtaking. The facilities are excellent, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. A campfire or similar activity would make the atmosphere even more magical. There's a friendly pet dog on the property (though I'm a bit afraid of dogs, it was no problem). I highly recommend staying here when you visit Madikeri – it’s an experience you don’t want to miss!

Breakfast was good and had good options. The chapatis for lunch were not good but the Owner was generous and they served us fulka (atta chapatis) based on our request. Also, they didn't have dosa in their menu but on our request, they served us dosa for dinner. Thanks!!

Location was serene and peaceful right next to Omkareshwar temple. Sounds of the evening aarti were refreshing and filled with positive energy. Varam homestay is also at walking distance from Madikeri fort, Raja seat and other important places to visit.
Home made food provided by Pradeep ji and his wife was really delicious. Other than the hearty breakfast with delicious with tea/ coffee, Pradeep ji also offered tea/coffee in the evenings.

The location and the staff were amazing in the heart of the city.. the room was decent for the budget. If you are expecting a lot of scenic view then this is not your place..However, if you want to stay in the heart of the city with a peaceful neighborhood this is the go to place..about 800m from Raja Seat and 500m from Madikeri bus stand this is indeed a wonderful stay.
