The Jallianwala Bagh has been made into a an excellent showcase of the tragedy that befell here and its been portrayed poignantly by encapsulating the history around it. Luckily, its a large area and allows you walk around, listen and read at your own pace. The downside of the memorial are our very own Indian tourists who clearly have no understanding of what the history is and the related tragedy here and have made this a selfie ground - selfies in front of the bullet holes on walls that have been preserved, selfies everywhere.
It would be nice if the government actually ran this as group tours with fixed number of people like they do in places like Auschwitz, where history can be learned and mood and tone of the place maintained rather this being treated like a holiday with children running amok, babies wailing and everyone else taking selfies. It was sad to see how selfies have triumphed any and all attempts at educating the new age public in what was a turning point in the India's struggle for freedom.

The location is great and 3 tourist attractions : Golden Temple, Partition Museum and Jallianwala Bagh are close by within walkable distance. As this hotel is in the main market, you can also do some shopping.
Loved our stay here so much that we extended it. The owners are lovely and very attentive, they were very helpful with everything we asked about including meals and organising transport to attractions and to the bus stop. The meals we ate here were delicious, and the rooms were clean and spacious with air conditioning, and our room even had a balcony. The hotel is also in an excellent location within walking distance of many attractions including the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. Highly recommend!
I recommend this stay to everyone who is on a trip to Amritsar. It is one of the best stays with the best staff and hospitality possible. The location is just 20 steps from the Golden temple and Jallianwala bagh. The best food is found in the nearby vicinity and also the market is very very near. The people at the hotel are very friendly and are always ready to help its customers.
Hotel is close to Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum. Rooms are excellent. Service very personalised and caring. One pax was sick and resting in room while others went to Wagha. Staff periodically visited the pax and took proper care, with human touch. Good and safe place to be in. Food (we took Veg) was very good and low priced too.
The staff was very friendly and polite. The rooms were neat and clean and the staff were always happy to help us with our trips around Amritsar. Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh are very close to the hotel. We had requested them to arrange T20 World Cup Final viewing at the hotel and they instantly took subscription for us. They went a step further and arranged snacks during the match to create a more friendly atmosphere.
I am regularly visit Amritsar and try so many hotels in Amritsar. But this is the best hotel for me. Just close to golden temple and jallianwala bagh . They provide all the basic need like free wifi , parking , neat and clean rooms and hygienic washroom.
