Golden temple is such a peaceful place and so beautiful done...
Golden temple is such a peaceful place and so beautiful done. One thing I had issue with was the lines. No single li e therefore you just get pushed with crowd. No regard to ladies or kids, get so squeezed can't even breathe. I had to exit myself out of the line as I couldn't take it anymore. Otherwise walking around was beautiful.

Avoid visiting on weekends and on national and local govt. holidays. Visit on weekdays, you will appreciate more. Best time to visit is early morning, really early morning as in 3 - 4 a.m. It may look daunting with the size of the crowd but it will be worth it.

The hotel is in the heart of Amritsar. The Golden Temple is about 15 minutes away by rickshaw, as are Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum and the Gobindgarh fort. The Attari-Wagah border is about 40 kilometres away, as it is from anywhere in the city, so no disadvantage there either.
Situated at the heart of the city Anjana Cottage is the perfect relaxing stay for you in Amritsar. Walkable distance from golden temple, jallianwala bagh and food & shopping streets. We researched a lot while booking the hotel and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of the season. Neat and calm atmosphere, welcoming staff, cosy and comfortable rooms with all facilities made it a perfect budget friendly choice for our trip.
Excellent location and service! This hotel is just a short walk from the Golden Temple, which was perfect for our visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly helpful, even accommodating our late-night arrival. Special thanks to Mr. Samraat for his excellent communication and for helping us arrange local tours. Highly recommend!

The hotel is right in the heart of Amritsar and very close to local markets and the Golden Temple.
Room was impeccable. Shower worked fine. Location is within 3 mins of walking to the Golden Temple. I checked in at around midnight but the staff were incredibly helpful. Best hotel experience in India so far. Will definitely stay here again next time.
One of the best Property I've stayed in Amritsar , the bed was super clean something that you rarely find in hotels and especially in India and the location is amazing near the golden temple and all the main attractions in Amritsar, But the best thing was the staff, amazing and friendly people that were really nice to me since day 1 till the last day and helped me with everything . Thanks for your best services.
Nice room. Clean. Confortable. Good location near the golden temple and good restaurants and facilities. We also book the transport to the border India-Pakistan with the hotel and it was perfect, and to the airport the next day. They help you in all that you need.
staff was friendly, even though a bit too pushy asking for reviews. position was ok, quite close to the golden temple. cleaning was a bit above indian standards (but certainly not at western standards).
i got a good rate due to last-minute booking + genius discount, which made the final price reasonable compared to the quality of the hotel (not sure if i would pay full rate tbh).
i was offered a free (basic) breakfast on the day of check-out.
room is comfortable, no noise from the street, a very good indian breakfast, dinner was good too, the pool area in the 6th floor was nice and we had a good view over amritsar. Our main goal was the golden temple of the sikhs, the hotel is 15 minutes by walk or 5 minutes by rikshaw.
