Pricing for a room that is billed as deluxe ( junior suite) really isn’t deluxe., bathroom and shower stall are the smallest we’ve ever seen in a hotel . And one of the 2 rooms is really not decorated at all. Not sure why it’s such an expensive room

We celebrated our son's Bar Mitzvah with family and stayed in a few units. Yoel and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and allow us the family togetherness we were seeking! I definitely recommend this hotel for its modern design and great hospitality!

The family who runs the hostel are truly amazing people. This is a special place, filled with good energy. Whether you travel solo, or as a couple, or a group, this property has a variety of rooms. I was a solo traveler this time but I will return with family and friends and stay at Jafa Gate Hostel again!!
Herbert Samuel Jerusalem is an elegant hotel in an amazing part of Jerusalem. In waking distance to Jaffa Gate. I was treated really well by the staff, especially Nati, the guest relations manager who went out of his way to be of help and Fadi, rooms division manager who was very kind in accommodating me earlier.

Our host went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The location was a short 7 minute walk to Jaffa Gate of Old Town Jerusalem. There was also ample shopping and dining opportunities surrounding the apartment.

I loved my stay at this hotel. It was very centrally located with lots of restaurants, bars, and markets within walking distance. Jaffa gate to Old City Jerusalem was a quick easy walk. The views of the city were spectacular. The kitchenette was great to have. This was the perfect place to accommodate a family at a reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here agin.

The apartment is in a great location, just a 20min-walk from Jaffa Gate. The rooms were all prepared for a family, and the house - in an old charming building - was prepared with dishwasher, washing and drying machines, which is very convenient. Moreover, the apartment is a walking distance from a small supermarket and pharmacies. The owner provided all information necessary and was ready to help in any event. I strongly recommend the place for anybody traveling to Jerusalem.
Special shout out to Shuli, the reception at the hotel. She is outstanding. She truly is a gem. She went beyond her job by assisting us with out delayed luggages even after we've checked out already. I truly appreciate her professional and kind demeanor. We can't thank her enough for all the help she extended to us. The hotel location is great and within minutes walks to restaurants and from Jaffa gate etc. The price is reasonable too. I highly recommend this hotel to those planning on visiting Jerusalem.
The apartment was in an amazing location- in the center of modern Jerusalem- close to cafes, stores, restaurants, light rail and Jaffa Gate to the old city. We sat on the balcony every day overlooking Jaffa St and enjoyed the view and street music. The apartment was spacious, great closet space, great shower/bathroom, and air-conditioning. Wifi worked well. Elevator to access apartment.
