it is an older hotel there was an air conditioner in the room, updated bathroom and comfy bed.
Staff was great. I loved the tea room and scones were delicious.
Only 5 minutes' drive from Kilkenny city center, Troysgate House welcomes all types of travelers to explore the city's castle grounds, old-fashioned shopfronts and historic pubs.

Do take the guided tour of the mile. It is very informative. I took it on a Tuesday although the website states that it is only available on weekends. I had the guide all for myself. His name was John and he was absolutely outstanding.

Look up local tour guides Brian or John for walking tours. see and stay at city B and B for very helpful friendly service , felt very welcome and fantastic breakfasts and the hostess will put you onto Brian or John for an interesting walking tour of the town at your own pace. Can’t recommend theses guys enough , thankyou John .
