We didn't find it worth going inside, but it was worth a short (20-30 minute) walk around the central area and grounds. We stumbled on a local group doing water bird research who were most interested in describing their fascinating work. Morning is highly recommended not only for the lack of tourists, but also for the scenic atmosphere.

We stayed four days. Location was very good as you could easily walk to the town centre. We also made it to Ross Castle by walk since the weather was excellent. Facilities were also very good, with a good breakfast and very friendly staff. I would recommend it.
Quiet road off main road about 10-minute stroll to town centre and 15 minutes from railway station. Close to historic house and garden set in national park offering a range of walks including Ross Castle. Plenty of parking for drivers and good restaurants in easy walking distance.
I was very pleased with my room. It was very comfortable and private. All the facilities are well run and there are nice breakfast offerings.it’s a short walk into town but along the way there are some great pubs and as well a route to Ross castle - so that sight, which I also highly recommend, becomes very accessible.
Loved the authentic old world charm. Only a 5 minute walk to centre of town. You are also able to walk to Ross Castle. Justin on front desk was extremely helpful and welcoming. Gave us great recommendations for dinner. Would recommend for anyone to stay.
The apartment was completely equipped for a pleasant, comfortable stay. The staff was helpful and really nice. The playground for the kids was amazing!
It was near the town, 5 min away from a supermarket and just 3 km away from Ross castle. I went for a run early in the morning and run along curious deers!
Located in a very tranquil area of Killarney, the apartment has a private entry and you can park just in front of the house.
The host is lovely and very welcoming, ready to give suggestions on where to go and what to visit, as Ross Castle which is just a 30' stroll away (one way), on a very nice street where you can spot deer too!
Hotel is in a good location at the top of the town. Nice walk to Ross Castle nearby without going into town. Bedroom and bathroom very comfortable. Call out to Carol breakfast manager who looks after you well. Plenty of parking at hotel, convenient store next door. Good bar attached to hotel with outdoor seating, even sells Murphy’s stout!
Randles Hotel is well located, near Ross Castle and the center commerce of Killarney. We stayed in a large room with good facilities and a comfortable bed. At reception we were very well looked after by Carolina and Veselin, who were kind enough to give us information about the city and great tips for walking and car tours. We felt very comfortable asking lots of things.
The breakfast is excellent, with several options in addition to the traditional Irish breakfast and everything was very tasty.

Head to Ross Castle and take a tour on one of the boats. We went on one of the larger more 'touristy' boats but it looked like the smaller boats were just as good.
