Reading signs posted on the Self guided tour gave a great history of Kilkenny, the family, royal connections, and history of the local area. Beautiful architecture, period decor, furniture, paintings, sculpture etc. The gardens and childrens' playground was definitely worth the time to enjoy!

Very spacious double room, good size bathroom with a bath tub, great water pressure in shower. Breakfast was very good,basic selection but very good food and service. the location was fantastic very close to all the City Centre and Kilkenny Castle. Hotel Restaurant was excellent, great food and fantastic selection of wines, Restaurant and Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Has off street, secure parking to the rear of the hotel.
Very central to everything, just a walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. Kilkenny castle literally just across the road.
Room was cosy and had a fan in the room which was great. Hotel it's self was lovely, staff very friendly and accommodating especially the bar staff.

A big, very comfortable hotel right opposite Kilkenny Castle. Great location right in town. Not a flashy hotel at all - a hint of the homely about it, which I like. Super clean room. Very pleasant staff.
We were unexpectedly given an upgrade to a very impressive and spacious room with views of Kilkenny Castle. Breakfast felt a real treat as everything was served at the table, so no need for the usual getting up and down several times associated with self- service arrangements.
Location is excellent, only a very short walk to the centre of town. We really appreciated the quality of this boutique hotel.
If you're looking for a gateway from the city, this is just the right place .
Dan, welcome us and give us all of the instructions for our stay . The cabin is very comfy, and there are electric blankets and a small electric heater for the cold nights.
Also the location is literally just 5 mon drive from the kilkenny castle.

It’s the Dower House for Kilkenny Castle. It’s now a comfortable, design-literate boutique hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was top quality, the garden outside is just beautiful. Central location in Ireland’s coolest city.
Brilliant stat at this apartment. Brilliant value for money, great view from the balcony of Kilkenny Castle. Karen could not have been more helpful, from self check in, to information on local sites to see. I will be coming back on my next tour of Ireland!
Hotel staff, facilities, room, food all excellent - we were really happy with our stay and would recommend highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was very close to Kilkenny Castle and all the shops and restaurants in the town.
