Absolutely everything! The hotel is gorgeous, the staff are exceptional (especially Ru!), and the food was delicious. The falconry demonstration is well worth the money, and Jason taught us so much about the birds and the art of falconry.
The rooms feature a comfortable bed and a marble bathroom with designer toiletries. Rooms also feature a flat-screen chromecast TV, complimentary WiFi and press reader.

We hit Galway during a spate of bad weather and probably can't give Eyre Square it's due. It is a very nice green space in the middle of downtown Galway. Try to go when it isn't pouring!

Don't bother, too many stall of crap, too many stalls of same same food.
Had been hoping for proper artisan stalls, dint find any just stalls with rude stall holders. In fairness the Christmas ornament stall were fantastic, so lovely to deal with, but other than that the stall holders spoke to customers like they owned them a living. Very very disappointed.
Last time I'll go. Would rather support my local small businesses.

Very relaxing and enjoyable.
Very relaxing and enjoyable. During the summer months, if the weather is good, it is nice to buy a take away coffee/lunch and bring it over to the green area in the square. There is seating but it is also nice to chill on the grass. The place is buzzing with people of all ages and if you are lucky, many wonderfully talented musicians will be playing/performing in the surrounding area. In the winter and in particular at Christmastime, there is a Christmas market and the place is amazing. Shopping in Galway is the best with a huge variety of shops in the city centre and plenty of shopping centres. The buzz is just amazing. It's a student's and artist's paradise any time of the year.

The hotel rooms are above the pub, and ours was on the 1st floor (2nd in US). The room looked out over Eyre Square which was very nice. It was comfortable enough and we were only there for 3 days. The location is a short walk to all the sites and restaurants in Galway. We were able to park in a garage about 5 or 6 minute walk away and the hotel provided a discount voucher. The music in the pub in the evening is great- about the best we found in Ireland- and breakfast (extra) was good too.
Great location, right by Eyre Square. Short walk to the Latin Quarter. Lots of restaurants. This is really just a small hotel room, a much smaller room than I expected from the photos. I should have known better but was still surprised at how small. Daily maid service updated coffee, tp, etc. Don't think I would stay again.
Kinlay was a great place to stay during my visit to Galway. It is just across the Eyre Square which meant that the city center was just a few steps away. Short walk to malls, the market and all the city attractions in Galway. The staff were friendly, the beds were clean and comfy and the breakfast was wonderful. They even had a water filter to fill your water bottles. Overall had a wonderful experience at the Kinlay Hostel.
The location was excellent. Right in the middle of Eyre Square....walking distance to your choice of multiple restaurants/pubs, shopping stores, historical sites, etc. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Shout out to Frances, Siobhan (sp?), and Ronny for making our stay so much more enjoyable. I will certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The location was a very short walk to Eyre Square, Shop Street and the docks where we took a ferry to the Aran Islands.
The staff was always available and ready to help with any inquiry.
The facilities are very nice, well equipped full kitchens to cook, outside and inside tables, also the hostel has table tennis, a pool table and board games (really appreciated by kids).
The location next to Eyre square is perfect to explore Galway by foot.
The atmosphere and the vibes in general are typical from these kinds of hostel 🙂
Great location, literally across the street from Eyre Square and very central in Galway. Easy and short walk to all of Galway downtown. The hotel has discounted parking arrangement with QPark at the nearby Hynes Yard carpark on merchant road.
The bus stop was directly outside the hotel, and buses into Eyre Square were frequent. The journey way took under 15mins. We had dinner a number of times at the hotel and the food was excellent.
Excellent location, right at the top of Eyre Square. Apartment is very spacious, bright and comfortable, lovely views across Galway. Everything you need for self catering.
Perfectly located hotel in Galway's Latin Quarter--easy walking distance to major sites and Eyre Square, where you pick up the "hop on, hop off" bus. The staff was exceptional--friendly, helpful (carried our bags up three flights of narrow stairs), informative. Breakfast was simple--continental fare--but delicious--fresh fruit, baked Irish soda bread, regular milk and oat milk, muesli and other cereals. Perfect start to the day.
