Lovely hotel. Beach adjacent; there is a narrow service road (for the beach bars) which separates the hotel from the shoreline. Beach is clean with good selection of restaurants which offer live entertainment at dinner.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel it felt like I was home. The security guard checked me in made sure everything was fine and then provided all the information as if he was the concierge desk. I loved my experience at the chill hotel. I fly Emirates business class or better, so when you take him to consideration that most would find this property off the beaten path, maybe, or not the Marriott… I would choose this property over the Marriott and take the pleasant walk down the trail right behind the Chill Hotel to the beach. I tried to book August but it’s sold out. I totally understand why, those who have experienced the warmth and friendliness of the staff would tolerate nothing less at another hotel. I had a phenomenal time and to the staff, I love you all and I will see you soon. Thank you for making my experience as wonderful as you did you will all hold a special place in my heart.

Local food was excellent and taxis are readily available. it is wise to negotiate with the driver before getting in the taxi.
Recommended taxis are Bluebird taxis as they use a meter. this can be costly as well if you have to sit in a traffic jam and the meter keeps ticking away.
Use Grab or Gojek or similar as the fares are predetermined before pick up.

Seminyak is hectic.
Seminyak is hectic. Great food and shopping but I am glad we stayed only 3 days. I love Bali but Seminyak is full of rude, loud abrasive Australians. I am embarrassed that so many Australians don't even try to say hello, how are you, please and thank you in Indonesian. There is an awful arrogant expectation that the Balinese SHOULD speak English.

The bedroom is comfortable; it looks just like in the pictures. The building is perfectly clean at all times. The staff is very warm and kind. It is close to the beach, 5' minutes walk, there's an ice cream shop next door and many stores on the same street where the hostel is located.

dirty beaches, death fishes outside, sidewalk dangerous to walk with children's, too much traffic. Maybe for 3 days is okay but more than this length would not recommend as a family. but maybe we were in the wrong location.

Seminyak is great, lots of shops, eating establishments, etc...
Seminyak is great, lots of shops, eating establishments, etc. Friendly people. Be preparted to get asked if you need a bike or taxi. We organised our own driver who we have used before. He took us on several day trips around the island. Traffic is horrendous although we did not see one ounce of aggression. The Balinese people are very nice and eager to get please.

The staff go above and beyond and are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They work so hard and nothing is ever too much for them. The food and drinks are out of this world- the buffet breakfast and dinner in the terrace restaurant was the best meal we had in seminyak. The hotel itself is beautiful and exceptionally clean and the rooms are spacious and are equipped with everything you need and are cleaned very well! I would recommend going for a pool access room as it was amazing! This hotel should be 5 star!
Lovely hotel, situated right on the beach. Amazing staff! Breakfast is awesome! Spoilt for choice. Immaculate room and hotel. On the last day I had a late flight and had already checked out. I spent the day out and needed a shower before getting my taxi to the airport. The friendly staff provided me with a complimentary new room just to freshen up and relax before my taxi arrived. I'll definitely book here again. Thanks to everyone at Alila
We had a room with a sea view and it was amazing, the hotel is right next to the beach and we was able to watch the sunset every night. We loved the swim up bar with a good selection of drinks and such lovely welcoming staff. It’s not to far when walking on the beach to get into Seminyak town and to go to beach clubs like Finns, Potato Head and Atlas.
Amazing quaint hotel tucked away very quiet and in the perfect location for Seminyak close to many bars restaurants and the beach , the pool was lovely and perfect for a cool off in the very hot and humid weather I think the value for money was superb 😃 also the courtesy transport from airport to hotel was great fast and friendly a nice added touch.
Great hotel, walking distance to restaurants. Free shuttle to the beach and Seminyak Square.
