This is a small boutique hotel with on 36 rooms that packs a big punch!
We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were perfect in size, clean and comfortable.
The staff were helpful and breakfast was adequate. There is a bus that goes to the old town for just 2.50 euros and for a return trip after 5pm our fare back to the hotel was free. The hotel is close to a bakery, supermarket etc and just a good place to stay.
I would book again.
Overlooking the sea in the beautiful Lapad Bay, the Kompas hotel can be found near a pebbly beach and the popular promenade, only a 15-minute bus ride from Dubrovnik's Old Town.

The location was fantastic, the beach was a particular highlight, with crystal clear water, it was a perfect swimming spot. Dubrovnik was a 15 minute drive away, which was perfect for exploring but also made coming back to the hotel feel peaceful and secluded rather than the holiday feeling like a ‘city’ break. The staff were fantastic, particularly housekeeping who came in twice a day and the little goodnight chocolates were a nice touch. The food was also delicious, the menu was expensive but on half board it felt like you got great value for money. Off season it is a buffet for breakfast, with a menu for dinner, off which you could pick a starter, main, and dessert.
