We stayed at Royal Princess hotel, because other hotels in the Royal resort are temporarily closed for maintenance. We were looking at the royal princess hotel while booking the stay and the photos didn’t do it’s justice. Hotel is small and beautiful. It has just enough for your perfect stay. The view is breathtaking, staff very friendly. Breakfast was great. Pool and the spa area is very well maintained and the surrounding area is beautiful for the walk. I believe everything applies to all Royal hotels, as well as Ariston. Can’t wait to be back.

Dubrovnik in January is a city very much taking advantage of...
Dubrovnik in January is a city very much taking advantage of the quieter months to repair key sites, while many are closed along with a limited choice of restaurants. This means that excursions into Bosnia or Montenegro are harder as travel companies are less willing to cater to smaller groups, but buses are still available for you to organise trips for yourself
It remains a little on the expensive side.
Otherwise, it is a jewel on the Adriatic. We enjoyed the fact it was quieter than it otherwise would be and there were enough things open for us to get by quite easily.
A wonderful place.

This city has so much charm.
This city has so much charm. I had incredible fresh Adriatic seafood, got to see beautiful landscapes, and had the loveliest conversations with the locals too.
I visited this month (December). It was stormy for a couple of the days that I was there - but nothing that stopped me from enjoying and exploring the city. The people I met in the city also told me I came at a better time as I get to experience dubrovnik without the huge crowds. I personally came for a relaxing break and to be near the sea, so for me this was perfect.
There are a few things however that do close for the winter, like the cable cars and islands - so if there are things in particular you want to do or see I’d suggest doing some research before deciding when to visit. Regardless, Dubrovnik is such a wonderful place and I had the most incredible visit.

Old town the walled in city is beautiful and clean with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. You can climb the steps of the walls. The old port was nice and they offer many tours. There are buses outside the walls that came pretty frequently. I did tours to the Elphite islands, Montenegro and Bosnia. All were good. Croatia and beyond is beautiful. I also did a city bus tour.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Dubrovnik
I wanted somewhere close to Dubrovnik old town but away from the busyness and with an area to explore with beaches and a hotel that gave me a safe and secure place to stay: it’s not a “holiday hotel” but I didn’t intend to stay there much beyond sleep and this was exactly what I wanted. Its location is perfect for easy access to Dubrovnik either walking, bus or taxi, very close to the port and bus station and the staff are so helpful. Lapad Main Street and beaches are so close by so all in all a great base for my trip
Calm however very well located (20mins by walk from the city center, closest beach is within 5 mins). Host is very nice and flexible. We did not know when we booked but the apartments are shared with Nuns whom taking care about the garden and live there generally. It was amazing, we got Blessed when we left. None of the 5 star luxury hotels have this service :)
Lovely location, very peaceful. Lovely big room, very comfortable. An easy walk to the beach, and an easy bus ride to the old town(so quick and easy). Really welcoming staff. And what a bonus to be able to also enjoy the 5* luxury of Hotel More facilities!
Charming apartment hotel right by the marina in Dubrovnik. The hotel is strategically well-located between Dubrovnik's Old Town and the beach. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and the hotel is clean. I can definitely recommend staying here.
A lovely hotel, very clean and well maintained. There is a huge variety of food on offer for breakfast and dinner.
A regular bus service which is 5 min walk away from the hotel into Dubrovnik Old Town makes sightseeing easy!
