Situated next to the sea, just above the seaside promenade in Lovran's centre, Hotel Excelsior - Liburnia offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor and indoor swimming pools with heated sea water and a sauna.

Commonly referred to as the ‘Lungomare’, this picturesque promenade is slightly unorthodox in that it was built in stages. Its northern part stretches from Volosko to Opatija and was finished in 1889, while the southern end connects Opatija to Lovran, and was completed in 1911.
