Bloomfield Falls
Long before it became known as Bloomfield Falls, this magnificent waterfall was called Wujal Wujal by the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people. Hire a guide and learn why these people still consider Wujal Wujal to be sacred. Or just head down with your 4x4 and a picnic hamper, and have lunch in serious style!

We loved everything about this place. We are a family of four and found it was enough room for all of us. You step out of the apartment and you are in the middle of it all. The Acropolis museum is directly opposite you and the Acropolis itself is a short ten minute walk to the entrance. Plenty of restaurants of all price ranges around as well as small marts for personal needs. You could totally get lost in Athens knowing you don’t stay far. Owner arranged airport transfer which was 55 euro.
Nice and comfortable apartment in a central location in Athens, near to metro and Acropolis. Has everything you need, clean, airconditioning works well (important as our stay was in 35 degree heat), comfortable beds. The communication with the property manager was superb as well.
Love the location! It is very close to lots of restaurants and shops at Ernou street, Monastiraki, Syntagna square and sights to visit - Acropolis, old Olympic stadium, museum etc.
The apartment was nicely done, very clean, comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. The host Sylvia was very thoughtful and kept croissants and snacks for us on arrival. She was very quick to respond to any help or queries we had. We will definitely stay at this apartment on our next visit to Athens.
The apartment is walking distance to Acropolis Museum and Acropolis of Athens. It has a cute balcony looking right to a church's garden. Maria was the best host, leaving all the stuff you need, and extras like beer, snacks etc. She was so responsive and gave the best tips about Athens and the restaurants around. This apartment will be my first choice if I go to Athens again.
Brand New hotel. Opened 7 days before we came. Very central and safe location. Metro which takes you straight to Plaka or Acropolis is 300 meters. The staff was super supportive and very courteous and helpful, we checked in late with children and elderly. The rooms are super nice and big, extremely very clean and comfortable. The breakfast on the top floor was great too. I recommend this hotel and will always come back to this hotel when in Athens.
We enjoyed this place. Very reasonable priced. It is so cosy and beautiful decorated. Just like 20 min Acropolis area by foot. Very nice shadow during the hot days so it is not hot at all inside. One of the best equipped apartments. They have everything from toaster and also Nespresso machine which for us was essential, you can't find it in most hotels. Owner Nikolas is so helpful and kind, he give us recommendations for amazing restaurants.
A classic family apartment in Thission--high ceilings, large rooms, marble counters and sink in the kitchen. Felt like a piece of Athens history. The hosts are kind and responsive, ready to help with anything. The lcoation is just excellent, 5 minutes from the ring road around the Acropolis, close to great restaurants and bars, and the Thission outdoor cinema. Highly recommended!
Very nice hotel and in very good location in the heart of Athens. The staff is friendly and was very easy to check in and check out. During my stay I was supported well. Room was clean and very well equipped. Cleaning service also was good and has refreshing with new water bottles and coffee every day. The terrace on the room was perfect with outstanding view to Acropolis.
Beautiful , peaceful apartment with absolutely everything we needed, plus more!!
Excellent location with a wonderful view of the Acropolis from the rooftop patio, lounge beds, and chairs, which was great to enjoy a drink.
Extremely comfortable bed, steps to restaurants , stores great location for seeing the site's, an excellent location!!
Would absolutely stay here again! It's so much better than a hotel room!!
Pella Inn hostel is located about 200mtrs from the train station, making it easy to get from the airport to the hotel. We had a 4th floor balcony room and the view of the Acropolis was amazing! The room was basic but clean and we loved the air conditioner and fridge, as we had a heat wave when we were there. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops. We really appreciated the lift when getting back from a day of exploring. There is also a rooftop area with magnificent views. Definitely would recommend Pella Inn Hostel.

Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound
If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1
Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
