Acropolis Museum
Athens is a city steeped in history, shaped by the people and empires that have called it their home. This relationship to the past can be seen and felt throughout the city, but the true scale and beauty of Greek antiquity is best appreciated at the Acropolis Museum. Standing beside the Parthenon itself, the museum's exhibits span thousands of years and document the story of the people of Athens through war, religion and daily life. From marvellous marbles to stunning statues, there's no better way to feel the true presence of the past.

I suggest a visit to the Acropolis Museum before visiting...
I suggest a visit to the Acropolis Museum before visiting the Acropolis. Seeing the sculpture/artwork at eye level gives you a better sense of what was once there to inform your understanding of the structures on the Acropolis. The museum construction above archaeological structures is spectacular, with clear floors and walkways that allow you to see what is below and remind you that the Acropolis was surrounded by dense habitation. Although the exhibits are beautiful, Interpretation of the objects, the underlying structures and the Acropolis is sparse and/or inconsistent. I would have expected to learn more about where the objects were manufactured, by whom, who was living/working in the ruins below the musuem.
The museum has a pleasant cafe with spectacular views of the Acropolis from below. It also has a large quiet reading room that offered a much needed respite from the crowds, heat and sensory overload of Athens in July!

The museum is not to be missed!
The museum is not to be missed! Beautifully designed and so many artifacts to be in awe. Visit at an earlier hour to beat the crowds, don't forget to visit the excavation site of dwellings from the 4th/5th century located below the museum. There are no signs that this area is open for a walk through. When we visited, it seemed as if it was not open to the public, but luckily our curiosity took over and we decided to walk down for a quick look. To our surprise, it was indeed open and we were able to use our museum tickets to enter the archaeological site.

buy your ticket on line before you go.
buy your ticket on line before you go. I spent at least 45 min in the first entry room alone! incredible museum! just jaw dropping. It is a relatively new structure and houses it's collection beautifully. I went at the opening time and it was packed by the time I left. Consider that.

Don’t skip this.
Don’t skip this. It’s essential to understanding the stuff you see at the top of the Acropolis. Get a tour that includes both the Acropolis and the museum. You’ll save time by visiting just the essentials and not waste time, and avoid crowds and get the best stories.

Must-see attraction.
Must-see attraction. You can purchase entrance fee to Acropolis and Museum in advance. Museum built over ancient ruins. Glass floors to view the ancient ruins and artifacts. Our tour included the museum but you can explore on your own at your leisure. Several food cafes inside the museum for you to take a break.

The staff were very friendly and accommodative
The hotel is very close to Omonia station from where you can take the Metro or ΗΣΑΠ and by using these public transport methods you can go to different places in Athens, like Acropolis Museum or Syntagma Square, etc. or even to Piraeus port
Very clean and comfortable rooms
Location is perfect for visiting all the iconic ancient sites and acropolis museum. The hotel was quiet and how perfect to sit on our balcony and look at the acropolis! The staff were professional and very knowledgeable about their city and all tourist type questions. Excellent breakfast. Just to mention - great shower - lots of hot water, a good shower head good pressure!
Room is extremely small. Breakfast is basic. Meanwhile location is perfect!!! 2 minutes from Acropolis metro station and Acropolis museum! We felt safe at night working to our hotel!
I couldn't imagine a better location in Athens for our family - we loved it! Few minutes walk to the Acropolis Museum and entrance to Acropolis slopes, restaurants around the corner. Great feeling in the neighbourhood. Good communication with the host, easy check in and out. More equipment in the apartment than we needed for our three nights stay. We would definitely come here again!
The aparments are in perfect location - 5 minutes walk to Acropolis museum and 10 minutes walk to Acropolis. On the 6th floor is a terrace with the amazing view of Acropolis. The apartments are very cosy, you can find there everything you need. Nearby are many shops and cafes. Oposite the street is the place there you can leave luggage if the flight is in the evening (10 eur for 24 hours). We would stay here another time visiting Athens for sure!
The hosts are very friendly and responsive, checking in was easy, the location is exceptional being a few steps from the Acropolis Museum and a strip of food restaurants. The apartment has a balcony allowing outside dining and relaxation.
The staff were very friendly, cleaning apartment and it is well located - good restaurants around and possible to visit Acropolis, Acropolis museum on foot.
The apartment is fully renewed with nice furnitures and equipments. The bed is very comfortable, everything super clean and tidy. The location is great as it's only 2 mins walk to the Acropolis Museum, safe area with many restaurants. The owners are very help, who recommended to us many good local restaurants and let us leave our luggages in the apartment after check out time.
Really clean and comfortable apartment- had everything we needed.
Great location for some of the amazing sights of Athens … walkable to Acropolis hill, Acropolis Museum, Plaka, Syntagma etc.
Very close to Metro station and tram stops.
