I’ was on a visit with my family in this beautiful country, Georgia.
After our early dinner in Tbilisi, me, my wife and my 8 year old son were walking on Shota Rustavali Ave street outside Galleria Mall.
All of sudden, out of nowhere, I was attacked by the group of 10-15 kids (around 12-16 years old). They all tried to grab my wallet, mobile, and my personal belongings. Not a single person walking on the street intervened😡
I tried to push them back, but they all were coming in the group. Finally after 2-3 minutes drama, one kid took my hand glove thinking that they took my wallet and they all ran away. Later, one lady from that group followed us till freedom square.
Real story starts now, at the freedom square, I approached police who were sitting in their car. As soon as the lady saw that, she disappeared. Surprisingly, police told me that they can not take the action as they were some other duty and advised me to go to the police station. Police also told me to react in a polite way with those kids if they try to do this again and request them not to do so😂😂😂
I must say that the street is not at all safe for Asian and Arabs.
Very disappointing and disturbing experience. We will never visit this place again.

The hotel's location is closed to freedom square just approx 10-min walk. 15-min walk to rustavali avenue. The room is great. It was a comfortable stay in general. I recommend this hotel if you are in a budget.

Good location near Avlabari Metro. Not right in the centre, but just one metro stop from Freedom Square.
The hotel was modern in appearance, quiet, beds were comfortable, and excellent showers.
Location and cleanliness are clearly the strengths of this hotel. It's located in the Old Town, which is itself very historical, and five minutes from Freedom Square. Plenty of public transport available around. The hotel is very modern on the inside, the room spacious and clean. The view from the balcony was striking - it allowed to take in all the contrasts of the city.
We had a fridge in the room and 2 complimentary bottles of water which was appreciated as the city was very warm.
The room was spacious enough as we only went back to sleep.
Air-conditioning in the room was a great asset. There was a hairdryer too.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Freedom Square so very close to the centre.
This was our 1st stay at the hotel during the trip as we returned 3 days later. Unfortunately the 2nd time wasn't so great.
It was fantastic location with all amenities in the room and most important very clean room with WC, close to Freedom square, Bridge of peace, Liberty metro and Barthashvili street. Owner is very helpful i didn't meet but only via messages. It's a Homestay not a hostel or hotel but very nice.
