The location is wonderful. But too many defects within the room! Manager informed but no action taken despite promises! And the food was brilliant. The wine exceptional. The local people brilliant and friendly.

The view is great. That have heating, so even when it is cold it is still possible to stay there. Staff speaks barley English but is nice. The made a special diet breakfast.

You can walk here from Sighnaghi and it is a delightful walk. The area is guarded by dour looking nuns, clutching rosaries who demand that if you are a man you must take off your hat and if you are a woman you must put on your hat. Many tourists and tour buses come here to see supplicants crossing themselves, they then kiss the walls of the monastery and where they planted a kiss they then smash their heads against the wall. This is because God told them to do this I'm sure.. The area is well manicured and nicely taken care of by same dour looking nuns who walk around listening for orders from God.

Cozy little guesthouse with extraordinary views! 5-7 minutes drive from touristic Signahi to the peace and quiet of a pastoral Kakhetian village. Excellent rustic breakfast, super friendly staff and nice room made our one night stand so special. Can’t wait to go back!

We arrived early but Maya invited us to wait in her home and offered us coffee etc. She offered to arrange tours and breakfast (for an additional fee). We arranged a tour to the Bodbe monastery.
