Location was perfect for the Marlowe Theatre, and the hotel had parking, although an extra charge it was reasonable for 24hrs. Our room was comfortable and cool on a very hot day. The staff without exception were cheerful, friendly and helpful. We would stay here again when visiting Canterbury.

Location was brilliant pleasant walk through Westgate Gardens to the city centre. Lovely quiet hotel with an amazing breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Hotel evening meals were plentiful and always hot.
The house was wonderful - three almost equal
Size rooms - bedding and mattress luxurious, little treats left out, parking and access easy, very close to station and also Westgate/centre - won’t get a better location. Owner was very nice to communicate with - quiet and lovely facilities - dining table, garden, nespresso machine, filtered water and two big sofas - perfect for a group time away!
We enjoyed our stay at this historic pub (Maiden's Head, built 1446). We arrived from London at Canterbury East Station and found the pub a short walk away. It was not quite clear where we should get the key, as the booking was for the 'Maiden's Chamber', we went into the pub bar to inquire which turned out to be the right thing. Friendly staff and good food in the pub. We walked into the city centre via the beautiful Westgate Park beside the River Stour.
