Stunning and quaint! We loved the decor and the atmosphere of the entire hotel. The free standing tub was opulent and lovely, while the shower was spa like. The room was very large by my experience in the UK thus far. Had a wonderful stay

This is a great hotel. Easy to walk to the centre of town, a really excellent breakfast, and very good value. There is free parking in the hotel grounds, which form part of an ancient Roman fort. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation.

We broke our journey here, as the location is conveniently near the M6, but there would have been plenty to explore nearby, had we stayed longer.

The rooms are large, luxurious and comfortable. The whole house is beautifully furnished and the garden is large and beautiful. Suitable for weddings and banquets. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and free

The Howard Arms is a lively little pub/inn and restaurant in the center of pleasant Brampton. During my stay the staff was cheerful and the food was particularly good. (Which explains why it was packed with locals.)
The room itself was standard fare.
It's not the Ritz Carlton but the room was clean, comfortable and more than adequate.
The Crown and Miter Hotel is located in the center of Carlisle city center, with shops and local historic attraction such as Carlisle Cathedral and Castle just 2 minutes' walk from the hotel.
