Quirky, but hospitable. The staff was very friendly even being very laid back. The attitude dragged us down to a relaxed being. Hey. I’m on vacation, why get all wound up? I could have just gone to a big box chain if I wanted that. Food was really good as was the beer. Location was killer. I’m not a dog fan, but even with the dogs around, I was chill. And. Beer tokens if you reuse your bathroom towels. I was never so motivated to hang ‘em up for a second use.

Hotel location is excellent given the close proximity of it to everything along with it being situated on a major transportation route (both buses and trams). Room was nicely furnished and well-appointed and several of the rooms proffer great views of the circumjacent area. The bathroom was large, sleek, modern and well-equipped.

The hotel is incredibly beautiful. They didn’t spare any expense and the attention to detail does not go unnoticed. There are wonderful places to lounge and a great restaurant. The Nespresso machine and fresh milk in the room is an added bonus. There is a lovely park across the street. I strained my back and they put an extra topper on our bed. I would highly recommend the Bonham if you want to treat yourself to a bit of luxury.

An excellent historic tour into Edinburgh’s hidden past. An incredible underground 17th century street, brought to life by a fun and engaging tour guide, dressed in 17th century attire. A truly unique and special experience, a must visit for anyone visiting Edinburgh.

The guided walk through was done well with the guide taking on the appearance of being back in that era. We had initially thought we could wonder around the underground city at our own pace and were surprised this was not the case. It was interesting and feel it was good value for money.
