The new management of the Riverside have really turned The Riverside around (judging by past reviews). The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful and the food was superb. I particularly enjoyed the Farmer's breakfast! The setting is beautiful - lovely views of the river Trent and some picturesque and peaceful walks to be had along the riverbank and into the adjacent nature reserve. Truly a hidden gem.

Plan to be there for most of the day.
Plan to be there for most of the day. We spent 4.5 hours there & didn't get round all the memorials or exhibitions. It's a quality place with superb, helpful, friendly staff. The cafe/restaurant is good too (not much choice of gluten free food sadly). Easy parking.

Good value for money and an excellent location for visiting the National Memorial Arboretum. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meal in the pub good pub grub. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The location for the National Memorial Arboretum was amazing. The welcome and assistance from young female bar staff was great. Good breakfast at a convenient time. Plenty of towels supplied in the room.
