Hotels near The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough

Hi, The public area along with the furniture in the rooms is very dated and worn and so gives you the wrong impression of the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My room was adequate, a bit small but was fine for one night. The shower is very poor, no water pressure and a small head. The duvet cover had blood marks on it, the right side of the bed had clearly had someone previously sat on it due to the indentation in the pillow against the headboard. I would have raised this with the team, who I am confident would have fixed it, but I was just too tired at this point after a long journey. The doors in the corridor create alot of noise to the rooms close to them as they bang every time someone goes through. Breakfast was fair, a little greasy for me, but that's just preference. However, I did have a good nights sleep, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet (once people had settled and the door noise stopped)

Review based on expectations for a 3 star in the middle off nowhere. I only needed to get my head down for the night and the shower was amazing high pressure and any temperature you like. The bed was comfy. Good hotel for what it is, I won't slate them like I was expecting more because I wasn't
