The best hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. Everything was just amazing. The check in was so personal and the staff were so lovely. The room was cosy, warm and spotlessly clean. The treetop spa was the best part of all, we could have spent all night there!

The staff were excellent, they were friendly and obliging. Our room was a good size with 2 double beds which were super comfortable, and the pillows and towels were good quality. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Free parking close to the door, and a lovely quiet location next to a big shopping centre, and only 20-25 minutes into Belfast. Spacious restaurant with lots of options on the menu and big portions; the food was ok.

Location near Strangford Lough and an impressive monastic site was excellent. Drive to centre of Belfast was 30 minutes but that was ok. Breakfast was really good home cooking. Room was quiet and spacious.
This is found in a lovely location on Strangford Lough in a very quiet rural area. We booked last minute and we very pleased at our warm reception from Terry. The breakfast was excellent and we hope to return.
A great location, with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really relaxing. We used it for a Strangford Lough visit but it is really convenient for Belfast too.
This was our second visit to the Old Schoolhouse. Terry and Avril are super hosts, could not be more helpful. The breakfasts were huge and kept us going all day. The location is excellent, quiet and very close to Strangford Lough, with lots of nature and set in a lovely landscape. Belfast is only a short drive away too.
My second stay here and everything you want in a rural B&B is here. Comfortable clean room, excellent breakfast and obliging hosts. This is a part of the world that more should know about. BBC Springwatch put nearby Castle Espie on the map and this is the perfect base to take it and the Strangford Lough region in.
