Fantastic property with awesome rooms. Really helpful staff were so accommodating and friendly. The bed might well be one of the most comfortable ever. Awesome fluffy and soft bedding. Superb. Wish I wasn't on a conference and could have had a lie in. The bathroom was luxurious and I loved the bed trays provided. All hotels should have them. The decor throughout was exceptional, as were the thoughtful room amenities. Hair straighteners, biscuits, tea, etc. Parking is easy and not a problem at all. It's a little way out of town if you don't have a car but taxis are plentiful.

Loved visiting the castle.
Loved visiting the castle. We did the guided tour first which really helped us get our bearings around the castle, and then explored alone. We were there mid afternoon and ended up having a take away cuppa on one of the gun terraces all alone - after all of the coaches had left. Just wonderful!

Really helpful staff.
Really helpful staff. We had a person with limited mobility, and they suggested and allowed us to use their wheelchair and drove us up to the top of the castle so that we only had to deal with the cobbles coming down.

A historical Castle which was built on a mound overlooking the Town and surrounding land. The Castle on 3 sides is very rocky and steep making it very difficult for enemy forces to scale. The main entrance has a moat which no longer has water in it and a draw bridge which no longer can be removed and a portcullis to prevent attack by invading forces. The Castle was used by Royalty both Scottish and English. Road to the Castle Esplanade is cobble stones and can be very unco when driving or walking up the steep hill . There is a charge to park on the Esplanade and to gain entry to the Castle. There is a discount from the admission to the Castle Via Historic Scotland membership which is well worth taking out. When visiting the Castle there is a part of the Castle which sticks out like a sore thumb a yellow building which is the Banqueting Hall. For a very long time hundreds of years the Banqueting Hall was the same colour as the rest of the Castle. In 1990’s someone came up with a plan that the Castle Banqueting Hall was originally a yellow colour when constructed and should be returned to that colour. This plan was passed and ever since the work on the Banqueting Hall was complete. The Castle does not look the same any more it’s as if the Banqueting Hall was stuck on to the rest of the Castle.

The castle is full of very interesting historical items as well as items from more recent times. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There is a little cafe on site selling a variety of hot and cold snacks. Thought the inclusion of little lego men in some of the displays a very good idea to keep children occupied looking for them and noting where they were.

Dire and not good value for money.
Dire and not good value for money. Worth paying a fiver but not fourteen quid. Only a few areas in the Castle worth visiting. Too much military rubbish on show too along with propaganda justifying killing people who disagree with you.

Amazing castle, one of our favorites in Scotland, especially if you have kids they have a whole area for them to learn, play and interact with the history of the Castle - wich is also fun for adults. the map they give at the entrance is very helpful, as it guides you so you don't miss a thing. Plus you even have actors bringing the castle alive, empersonating historical figures and interacting with visitors. The castle also offers great views over stirlingshire and Wallace Monument ahead. Make sure you have at least one hour, maybe two to learn and see everything. And dont miss the Castle Kitchens! you can also park your car outside the castle for 4£.

Off street parking, washing machine, dryer, drying room, self use kitchen or have a buffet breakfast. The Youth Hostel is next door to the Old Jail, Holy Rude & Stirling Castle. Down the street is the best restaurants, shops & cafes. The bus and train station are nearby. Walk to other historic sites. Very helpful and friendly staff. I enjoyed staying here.
The staff were very kind. Breakfast was delicious.
It's in a very convenient location to go anywhere. We went from this hotel to see the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Highland Games at Bridge of Allan. And of course to Stirling Castle.
The room was spacious, quiet and clean. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Nice spacious apartment with everything you need. Located perfectly to go into the city, the Old Town, Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument ….
Christine was a lovely host and it was easy to communicate with her.
My husband and I were thrilled with its location. Greatly enjoyed getting to know more of the hotels history and the old town of Stirling and the Stirling Castle which is right there. In the short time we were there it was perfect. The hotel provided a safe place to park our rented car right in the courtyard.
We really loved this apartment in a quiet, pretty residential area of Stirling and were very happy to wake up to hillside views. It's only a 10 minute walk to the train/bus stations and 20 mins walk to the old town and magnificent Stirling Castle. The apartment has so much space and is really comfortable...the huge sofa was a welcome sight after walking miles through pine forests and around lochs! Would definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff, especially Tracy, who served us with our delicious evening meal. Check-in was quick and easy. lovely self-serve breakfast and comfortable and large room. The hotel was roughly a 7 minute drive to Stirling castle.
The property had everything we needed, easy to access and very comfortable. Situated on a quiet street a few minutes from Stirling castle. A 10 min walk downhill to the centre of Stirling …. A slightly longer uphill walk back, but manageable. The apartment is spotless!

Stirling Castle was very big and had very elaborate exhibitions for visitors. A small renovation on the exterior grounds going on, but did not disrupt my visit at all. The Stirling Heads were fabulous, whole place kept me entertained for over 4 hours, very much worth the price!
