Worth planning to spend all day on the SVR.
Worth planning to spend all day on the SVR. The workshops at Bridgnorth are well worth a visit. By the time you've stopped off at a couple of stations to look around and wait for the next train, the day has gone surprisingly fast.

Long weekend break with a freshly cooked full English breakfast each morning. Just a few minutes walk to the river Severn and Bewdley's restaurants and pubs. The Severn Valley Railway station was just minutes away on foot.
Its a Wetherspoons Hotel. Its like a Wetherspoons pub. Does what it says on the tin.
Has limited free parking, with busy pub below but as its a spoons there is no music so you wont be disturbed. Bewdley is a stunning little town with lots of pubs, restaurants and a beautiful setting. Its also only a 15 min walk to the Severn Valley Railway. Again, as you expect at a spoons, its very good value.
The Horn & Trumpet is situated in the heart of Bewdley. It's less than a 5-minute walk to Dog Lane car park and most businesses (shops, restaurants, Severn Valley Railway station, etc.) are only 5 to 10 minutes' walk away. My room was clean, comfortable, nicely styled and the wifi worked well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The cottage is perfectly placed for access to and from the town, with just a short walk to the shops and not too far from the Severn Valley Railway station. Communication prior to our visit could not have been better, thank you!
Excellent Country Inn hotel with top-class chef preparing wonderful restaurant dishes. Well-appointed comfortable room. Very relaxing bar with wood-burner and great range of beers and other drinks. Super location for steam heritage Severn Valley Railway, Wyre Forest Park, Bewdley Safari Park, and Severn Valley Country Park. Easy access to Birmingham by road or rail in under an hour.
LOVELY room Beautiful view of Bewdley town from window close too Excellent country side walks and landmarks s v r will book same hotel for next visit when Severn valley railway reopen Bridgenorth station
