The staff were all amazing. Especially Maria with housekeeping. She went out of her way to find us 2 blankets since the duvet provided was to warm for us. Every time we passed her in the hall she greets us and asked if there was anything needed. The breakfast staff were also wonderful and ensured we had everything we needed. They kept all the food items well stocked and always greeted us with smiles.

Quirky, but hospitable. The staff was very friendly even being very laid back. The attitude dragged us down to a relaxed being. Hey. I’m on vacation, why get all wound up? I could have just gone to a big box chain if I wanted that. Food was really good as was the beer. Location was killer. I’m not a dog fan, but even with the dogs around, I was chill. And. Beer tokens if you reuse your bathroom towels. I was never so motivated to hang ‘em up for a second use.

Hotel location is excellent given the close proximity of it to everything along with it being situated on a major transportation route (both buses and trams). Room was nicely furnished and well-appointed and several of the rooms proffer great views of the circumjacent area. The bathroom was large, sleek, modern and well-equipped.

Bigger than I expected.
Bigger than I expected. Interesting that it was built for under £20k but cost millions to restore it. Good views of Princes Street and the city from the top. Can get very busy. Not for anyone who struggles with stairs!

We had a corner room with a great view of the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle. We couldn’t have asked for a better location in the city. 10 minutes to get to the old town. Right on the park. The staff were incredibly friendly. We loved it!
Fabulous location! Very near to the West End tram stop, making transit between the hotel and airport easy. Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Scott Monument, Calton Hill and National Gallery where all within a short walk.
The location was fantastic (just down the hill from High Street), the facilities were adequate and nicely finished, and the view of Scott Monument was ideal.
