Breakfast and dinner were excellent - food was delicious and staff so helpful and friendly. The restaurant was super busy on a Sunday evening, but they had a queuing system that worked really well and we relaxed in comfy chairs with a drink while we waited for a table. Then we had live music entertainment while we ate. Superb location just opposite the train station.

The customer service and how friendly the staff were
Situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, one of the last truly unspoilt parts of the world., the hotel looks out across the picturesque Spey Valley to the 18th century Ruthven Barracks.
Location was superb in the middle of the Cairngorms.
We stopped over for 1 night at the Crossing when we were driving from Edinburgh to Inverness. It was a perfect stopover location and fit our needs for the night.
Breakfast was good - you had to order what you wanted the night before so they could prepare it for you in the morning. There was also ample parking at no additional cost.
Good location - Definitely recommend a visit to nearby Ruthven Barracks and the Highland Folk Museum!
The service, cleanliness of the guest house, as well as the warm, friendly welcome from the owners was first class.
Couldn’t fault the superb breakfast either.
As they are only open at certain times of the year, & intermittently, we feel we were lucky to secure a booking here, & will definitely look to stay here again in the future.
Ruthven Barracks are well worth a visit if you’re staying in Kingussie.
The location is very convenient when you are travelling by train. It's almost in the middle of the main street and a shot walk to the Ruthven Barracks.
The room was spacious and had the potential to be a beautiful room with high ceiling and a view over the stream and park. Unfortunately I think we would have been better off staying at the Hostel down the road.
Nice friendly welcome from the owner. He was helpful in advising about places to eat since a lot are shut because of covid or Brexit or both.
Good breakfast.
Nearby Ruthven Barracks is worth a visit.
