BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh, hotel in Edinburgh

BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh features free bikes, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Edinburgh.

Such a cool hotel especially for a craft beer lover. Even if you set aside the beer aspect, this hotel is great and the room had so many little extras and details normal hotels wouldn’t (or would charge extra for). Huge hot breakfast in the morning, a couple of welcome pints at checkin, a free candy bar… and on top of that incredibly easy access to all the famous sights of Edinburgh and a short walk from the train station. Staff was outgoing and helpful. Miko checked us in, showed us around and gave us some great food and music recommendations. We only got to stay one night but wished it was longer!

A perfect place to idle on a sunny day. The outdoor restaurant was a great place to meet up with friends and family then wander through the well kept gardens. The changes of the seasons bring different treasures.

A favorite FREE place to visit for over 50 years.

A favorite FREE place to visit for over 50 years. Note that the parking charges are much higher right by the West entrance gate than 100m away. There is no entrance from the south and the east gate is more towards the centre of Edinburgh so pretty congested. Particularly recommended in late spring when the rhododendrons are flowering. Or during winter when there are light displays.

There are 2 entrances one on the east side and one on west side, lovely gardens well maintained, love the cottage/vegetable garden. The glass houses I feel were expensive considering you couldn’t access all the houses due to Covid, but as it was free to get into the botanical gardens still worth a visit. Very popular with families.
