Blackpool Pleasure Beach
The pride of Blackpool. This theme park has so many rides that the problem is knowing where to start. They range from the high-octane Big One rollercoaster right down to the cutesy Rugrats ride in Nickelodeon Land. Best of all, the Pleasure Beach comes with a thoroughly English disclaimer – if it rains for three hours straight, you can come back for free the next day.

Beach is nice and sandy but the view behind you is very sad .... many closed restaurants and hotels; buildings in need of paint; what happened to this once-thriving seaside town? Looks very run down indeed ....

Get there as early as possible before 10oclock and you will be closer to the front and head for the biggest rides first but most rides don't open until 10.30 but loads of fun and if u go on the ride Valhalla wear a rain Mac or poncho because u will get soaked but worth it

Pay to enter then rides are free.
Pay to enter then rides are free. Recommend getting a print of your ticket in one of the shops in pleasure beach as you have to scan on to each ride. This will save battery on your phone and also means groups can split up to go on different rides. Also keeps your phone safely packed away reducing risk of damage on rides.
Disappointed that some of the rides were closed but it was a windy day so understand safety comes first. Be aware of this when booking to go in that weather affects what rides can run .

Went during the Scottish school holidays first week when not all Scottish schools were off - no queues so perfect for doing rides multiple times. Do Valhalla last or…. Bring spare clothes and use the lockers to change.

This visit we rate good and bad.
This visit we rate good and bad. We have visited many times but this time we noticed good and bad situations with a few rides, Good: The very old Steeplechase and The 100 year old Big Supper were MUCH BETTER than before with new soft cushions inserted into the buckets. Bad: The restraints on the Revolution were loose and made the experience painful! We noticed the jerking of The Big One over certain steeps made one nervous that it could one day breakaway! (Heaven forbid!) And the Infusion was extremely head rattling, many complained. Otherwise our day was brilliant. We'll be BACK!

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights and it was fantastic. The owners were so helpful and absolutely lovely , there was no job too big or too small for them. We certainly felt welcomed.
The location is perfect, it was a quick walk to Blackpool pleasure beach and easy access to trams. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival which the room was perfect for the two of us.
