Set amid parkland with its illustrious history and contemporary renovation, Winstanley House is the place to be.

Food excellent (especially the steak, as I'd been recommended) My wife and I had room 121, which was enormous and surprisingly good value. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff - on the desk and in the bar and restaurant.

    Although there were a few school parties at the time of our visit in late November this is not just for young people but for anyone with an historical interest in the development of space exploration over many decades. There were also several interesting exhibits such as a piece of moon rock and fragments of meteorites.
