Market Street hotel, hotel in Edinburgh

Located in the center of Edinburgh, just a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile and 650 yards of The Real Mary King's Close, Market Street forms part of Edinburgh’s historic skyline.

The bed was extraordinarily comfortable. The shower was great with strong water pressure and shower heads in the ceiling. There were also big plush bathrobes which I appreciated. The complimentary mini bar was a real treat with a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and sweet treats restocked everyday.

The Bonham, hotel in Edinburgh

Located in Edinburgh's West End, The Bonham Hotel is a Victorian town house. Majority of the bedrooms have a city view.

It's our 2nd staying in The Bonham. Everything is excellent, and this is my favorite hotel in Edinburgh. The room is very clean, the view from the room is unforgettable, the location is the best not far from busy street but very quiet in hotel area. I can say it is the real getaway deal. It is close enough to walk to the city center and all tourist attractions area. We are definitely gonna stay here again when we get back to Edinburgh.

Very good venue - to see it all would take days.

Very good venue - to see it all would take days. Best advice is to pick a section and really look at it - gives you an excuse for a return trip to Edinburgh to see another bit of the museum, along with all the other atractions.

    Do not miss this place!

Do not miss this place! It is huge and we could have spent all day there. An incredibly beautiful building. It was quite overwhelming at first to know where to start as there isn’t a route as such to follow. It was very busy and crowded in some areas and empty in others. Impossible to sit down in the cafe as it was so busy but there are lots of seats fitted around if you need a break. We almost missed it but there is a roof terrace which is well worth a visit with super views of the city. And it’s free!!!! But there are donation stations for making your own choice of what to give. A duper super place!!

The location was across the street from the National Museum of Scotland, easy walking distance to pubs and restaurants, Victoria Street, Grassmarket Square, and the upper end of the Royal Mile. Furnishings were comfortable and attractive. No noise issues. Very private. A large bank of windows allowed ample light and a view of an old church.
