Amazing grounds and buildings. The Library and Atrium bars are stunning and the pool is great! Staff went above and beyond, helped us with early check-in etc and were always friendly.

Delicious breakfast especially Forthay's own delicious muesli. The property itself is very attractive and well tended. Especially lovely was an evening reading by the fire in the 'snug' after a long day out walking. Our hosts were gracious, generous and provided excellent suggestions about walks and dining out.

Had a lovely one night stay , very friendly and prompt check in. Room lovely and comfortable , beds very comfy. Freshly cooked evening meal which was really good., staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Would return if we are in the area again
