The location was great for our purpose of exploring the Borders. There was a free car park nearby and good choices for meals. We loved the entertainment the first night. Elaine was most helpful with our bags (no lift) and with breakfast and all our questions. The beds were super comfy and everything was very clean and tidy. The bar service was great, too.

It is in a stunning setting and is beautifully conserved.

It is in a stunning setting and is beautifully conserved. The handsets are very useful for both architecture and describing the lives the Cistercian monks who lived there. The Bruce memorial is apt and charming.
