Stunning. If you're in Bowness and look north towards the mountains north of Ambleside, it's one of the best views in the UK. There is also a viewpoint a little way north on the road from Bowness to Ambleside.

Lake Windermere is very popular and can be busy around the Jetty areas where people take a trip on the water. Just out of town the Lake Jetty Museum show some beautiful boats that have seen time on the water. There is also a trip you can purchase there. For motor fanatics, the motor museum just out of town shows a very extensive selection of cars bikes and motor vehicles of all areas. They also show the world land and water speed records made by the Campbells. Definitely worth a visit if you are Into that kind of thing. A cafe is available. Parking is a available at both places.

Staff extremely friendly and polite
Storrs Hall is a stunning, lakeside hotel located on the shores of Lake Windermere, offering us a blend of elegant Georgian architecture and modern amenities. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and picturesque views, it provided a tranquil escape.
The breakfast was amazing. The chef came and chatted to us at breakfast and told us all about the Rum Nickys she makes, it was very clear that she takes great pride in her work, her Rum Nickys are fabulous.
The breakfast room and our bedroom had the most incredible views out over Lake Windermere. The hotel is tastefully decorated and beautifully clean. Ideally located within a couple of minutes walk from Bowness and the Lake
Fantastic overnight stay & was nice to be given a free upgrade to their Tower room with amazing view over Lake Windermere. Thankyou to all the Staff at the Belsfield Hotel 10/10.
The apartment is centrally located in Bowness on Windermere. Close to shops and very handy to lake Windermere.
It contained everything we needed for our two night stay which was very comfortable.
Ashley provided detailed instructions on how to access the apartment as well providing parking during our stay. We enjoyed walks around the village and taking ferry rides on the lake

The location for the hotel was excellent. The views of lake Windermere from the hotel room and dinning room were fantastic and could not have been better. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly.
