The Baltic Hotel, hotel in Port Sunlight

Featuring a shared lounge, a restaurant as well as a bar, The Baltic Hotel is located in the centre of Liverpool, 800 metres from ACC Liverpool.

The room was really nice, albeit minimalistic, with an industrial feel to it. It had a fridge also, which is becoming a novelty nowadays, but a welcome addition. Situated on the 5th floor, it was very quiet, apart from the 3am fire alarm one morning. The location of the hotel may not suit all, but for us it fit really well, being 10-15 minute walk from the main shopping centre and a 5 minute walk to China Town and numerous bars.

The Bridge Inn is the original dating from 1900. Part of the Port Sunlight Garden Vilage, definitely worth a stay and walk around the village or visit to the Lady Lever art gallery. I arrived later than expected but was still made to feel welcome and when despite it being 10.45, I was offered a sandwich and a drink to settle me in. I had a quiet night's sleep and a good breakfast in the morning. I'll be back. Thanks.
