Bridge Inn by Greene King Inns, hotel in Port Sunlight

A charming hotel steeped in history, set in the historical town of Port Sunlight, within easy reach of Liverpool and Chester, and just 5 minutes from the M53.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Used as a stop over as it was close to ferry port so we could make sure we hit early departure times. Located in an amazing and wonderful area. Would have been a different world for workers used to the slums of neighbouring cities.

Location was perfect - we had an event to attend at the conference centre and the hotel was a few hundred meters. Ideal. Also, the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. They sorted out a number of minor issues for me and my group and were well humoured.

Lovely little town, which is worth exploring, Hulme Hall has special significance for Beatle Fans as it is the first place the Beatles played a few days after Ringo replaced Pete Best. The station is located at Port Sunlight, so the Wirral line gives easy access to Liverpool and Chester. The Bridge Inn is a typical older pub, and accommodation is basic but acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have stayed there twice over the last several years and would happily go back again if the opportunity arises.

Great history of Lever brothers and the establishment of Port Sunlight. The museum is definitely worth the visit as is the Lady Leverhulme Art Collection. Everything is easily walkable and food in the Bridge is above average.

We have been to Port Sunlight many many times and love the village. For people who have the time, try and book a walking tour of the village via the Port Sunlight museum, brilliant for an insight into the history of the place. The Bridge Inn is ideal for a drink or pub food. Hulme Hall have craft and flea markets every Sunday. The garden centre has a café inside and considerable plants available. There is a Port Sunlight museum which tells the story of Lord and Lady Lever and their dream to build this unique village. Peaky Blinders had Aunt Polly's house here. The major attraction is the Lady Lever Art Gallery, absolutely brilliant, especially for the Romantics artists.

The house is absolutely lovely and the area is charming and quiet. I couldn't believe we got the whole house for the price. I booked in a hurry to go to a concert and didn't even notice it was a whole thing, I thought it would be just the room and the rest of the hotels in liverpool for that price were not nice. This definitely exceeded expectations.
