We went to the Lady Lever Art gallery, which is well worth a visit. Had tea in the tea rooms opposite Port Sunlight train station, as the tea rooms at lady lever was temporarily closed. With more time we would have had a good look around the village and it's beautiful historic buildings.

This was a return trip to an area that I had lived in for 39 years. I am glad to say that very little has changed in the overall view of the Village, however, I was not there for the Village but to visit the graves of family members in and around the Wirral and the Village was simply a Central Hub for my plans. I also know the History of the Village which made the stay even better.

Lovely little town, which is worth exploring, Hulme Hall has special significance for Beatle Fans as it is the first place the Beatles played a few days after Ringo replaced Pete Best. The station is located at Port Sunlight, so the Wirral line gives easy access to Liverpool and Chester. The Bridge Inn is a typical older pub, and accommodation is basic but acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have stayed there twice over the last several years and would happily go back again if the opportunity arises.

Great history of Lever brothers and the establishment of Port Sunlight. The museum is definitely worth the visit as is the Lady Leverhulme Art Collection. Everything is easily walkable and food in the Bridge is above average.

A very relaxing overnight stay at the beautiful historic pub ! A lovely quiet and spacious room . Wonderful staff throughout the building , whose fondness for the place was obvious . I particularly liked the restaurant where breakfast is served . A real time warp with fabulous decor .! Port Sunlight is enchanting and the River Park has stunning views over the estuary , but the best part of my trip was staying at the Bridge Inn . 😊
Fast communication with the host. Smooth check in and check out. Fully-equipped house. Excellent location. If you want to stay in Port Sunlight don't look at any other places to stay. Book this place.
