We loved everything in this hotel! The room is nicely decorated and warm, the beds are comfortable. The dinner in the restorant was the best we tasted in Scotland! Hightly recommended!

This was a very odd accommodation, with things to like and things to not like. For me, the negative outweighs the positive. The other members of my group were more forgiving. Meadowpark is, as its name suggests, a bar, restaurant and hotel. Therefore, while there is onsite parking, you compete with bar and restaurant patrons. Our check in was the strangest I have ever experienced. As far as I could tell, there is no hotel staff. There is a tiny front desk that never had anyone staffing it. I finally asked the bartender, a very friendly overworked young man, how we checked in. He took a break from his other duties to get us keys and show us our rooms. I have no complaints about him, he was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms were very big. The beds were comfortable. There was a nice assortment of coffees, teas and a variety of coffee makers. The materials stated that we would receive a "luxury" basket of items for a continental breakfast. Right before bed, I went down to ask another harried bartender how we would receive our basket and he promptly brought it to our room. I am not sure who was responsible for other questions regarding our stay. The basket was very nice with croissants, cheese, proscuitto, jam. The hotel is not close to downtown so you must drive. We had lunch at the restaurant and it was very good.
