St. Jacob’s Cathedral

What’s in a name? This cathedral isn't actually named for St. Jacob, but St. James the Greater of Santiago de Compostela. In Latvian, the names for James and Jacob are the same – hence the confusion. The building is a red-brick beauty full of sacred art and has a copper-plated spire reaching towards the sky. Beautiful!
