The staff was exceptionally helpful. I’ve traveled the world but the hospitality at the holiday inn express midlands was out of this world. How the receptionist helped me to get my booking a day ahead of the date. How the manager went out of his way to drop us off at the airport. Thank you guys. Thank you.

Interesting place as it's not been renovated and has been kept as it was when handed over to the National Trust in the 1980's. Walk through the survants tunnels under the house and in the garden.

    It's an unusual stately home.

It's an unusual stately home. Unrestored it presents a different view to other restored NT properties yet has plenty of things to view and admire. The grounds are lovely. The history of the grand house intriguing. There's also a very good eatery (not restaurant, not cafe but between) that serves local produce lovely meals at a reasonable price.
