Reserved spot for hotel room parking. The food in the hotel was unbelievable. The staff are a credit to the owners; although they were young, they went above and beyond. The rooms were spacious, well-decorated, and very clean. The location was great for different walks in the Peaks, and Chatsworth House was not far away.

Get the tickets for the VIP Bar/Room in the attic!
Get the tickets for the VIP Bar/Room in the attic! Unique and intimate setting for a welcome drink from the nicest old school barman who also had drinks/ice cream ready in intermission time.
We had tickets for Agatha Christie’s Mouse Trap 70th anniversary/120 years Opera House and the VIP attic room was the icing on the cake for this special event!
But it’s quite a climb and not recommended for people with mobility issues.

My favourite in the UK, after the Royal Opera House.
My favourite in the UK, after the Royal Opera House. Acoustically perfect - there are no 'bad' seats, although, of course some are more comfortable than others. I recommend anything from 5 rows back in the stalls, and anything in the dress circle or upper circle. The gallery is fine, if no other seats are available, because of the superb acoustics, but the seats are hard. Maybe take a cushion if you have seats up there.

Location was excellent for my trip to Buxton Opera House and for walks direct from the front door. Other places for walks were easy to get to from the property. Everything I needed for the stay was readily available, and if asking a question the hosts replied straight away. A butchers pack was provided for making a breakfast. Accommodation was clean and tidy. Can also recommend the book shop cafe, up the road, for a delicious hoc choc on a cold day too.
It helped being upgraded, the room was excellent, and i slept soundly in a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was ideally placed for attending the Buxton opera house.
Beautiful property with well equiped kitchen to make for a relaxing stay in Buxton. Visited Poole Cavern, Buxton Opera House and Chatsworth House making it a wonderful break.
Perfectly located for Buxton opera house and gardens. The hotel itself has terraced grounds leading down from the front. The staff were welcoming and professional.
It was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Ideally located just across from the Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Gardens.
Tea, coffee, milk and sugar were provided and there were two boxed cup cakes on arrival. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Very welcoming staff. Lots of info given regarding the history of the hotel etc, very interesting . Querky old fashioned lift up to the second floor to our very generously proportioned room complete with enormous comfy bed.
Buffet style breakfast included in the reasonable overnight cost of £98 for the two of us, very enjoyable!
Situated just opposite the Buxton Opera House. Perfect for an overnight stay after enjoying a performance. Happy Days!!
The hotel is positioned perfectly for a visit to Buxton opera House bars and restaurants in the town centre. It’s a very impressive building of national importance and has been restored to its former glory the rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The spar area is second to non unique in every way.
