Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

The room was wonderful and accommodated three of us perfectly. Such a lovely town house. Cozy and comfy. Breakfast was amazing and the dinner was quite exceptional as well.
Within the historic Burghley Estate, The William Cecil features unique rooms with original features, and Egyptian cotton sheets. Its restaurant serves fresh, seasonal food.

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is opposite and close to the A1. Large rooms are en suite and there are excellent leisure facilities including a pool and gym.

Wonderful old building which we visited several years ago...
Wonderful old building which we visited several years ago just for a special old fashioned music evening event, sort of medieval theme. So we only visited part of this huge property. Unfortunately current entrance price is out of my price range as on tiny pension, although apparently it allows you to visit unlimited times for a year after purchase. so I suppose good value.

Everything! Location right in the center. Cosy room was really quite spacious, much larger than we expected. Furnishings lovely. Quiet. Efficient and friendly reception and waitstaff. Breakfast was delicious and included in our rate. Dinner also very good. Car park was spacious although hard to find bc at rear of property. Lovely walk across the river to Burghley House.
Very comfortable bedroom and excellent shower room. Very clean and plenty of refreshments provided. Location very good for getting into town and to Burghley House
