My husband and I were really looking forward to our stay at a pub with rooms in London. We were looking for charm and though the pub was cozy on a winter day there were other areas that were off-putting. A shout out to their morning staffer, Theresa, who worked so hard to make us comfortable and have an enjoyable stay that it softened our view on this local. Breakfast was good.

Location is great, right in the heart of covent garden. Staff were very nice. They were able to get us an upgraded room earlier than expected which was wonderful as we were in the depths of jetlag.
We are replacing the Thames Foyer with Savoy Lounge. The beautiful new space will seamlessly integrate contemporary style while remaining true to our much loved heritage.

The staff had the right balance of providing supreme service, where nothing was too much trouble and were mostly preemptive, while still being personable and warm. You can find lovely hotel rooms anywhere, but finding the right staff is obviously the Savoy’s forte.

British Museum
As Great Britain’s Empire expanded, so did its cache of material treasures – many of which are on display in this world-class museum. Among its eight million exhibits, you'll find the stunning Elgin Marbles from Greece, the Benin Bronzes and the legendary Rosetta Stone. The Reading Room stands at its heart and is spectacular in size and scope.

Too crowded to really see the exhibits.
Too crowded to really see the exhibits. We booked a slot which I thought was to stagger the influx of people but clearly not. The British museum is world class when it's not too busy.
Bring your own food and drinks ,come as early in the day as possible. Try to go to toilets outside of the museum as you could be stuck in a very long queue. There are free lockers for bags etc but again come early as these fill up very quickly, the alternative is the cloakroom which is expensive to leave coats/bags etc.

It's free, but book an entry time in advance, and be prepared to join a long queue, so arrive well before your time slot. We only had one day, so picked an area or two each. I would love to have a whole week to go every day (and book for every day). Stunning to see in reality items you're familiar with from books! Another tick off the bucket list.
You can buy some food there, but there's little choice, so it might be easier to take a packed lunch. Wear easy shoes as there aren't many places to sit down.
Leave some time for the bookshops -- both the serious one and the touristy one.

The British Museum is a must see when visiting London.
The British Museum is a must see when visiting London. The building itself is spectacular and whats inside is even better.
Big issue is the number of tour groups - not museum tour groups - external tour groups - everywhere! Crowding around all of the major exhibitions - taking up all the space and no regard for anyone else visiting the museum. Spent the entire time squeezing through these groups to glimpse an object. Would be great if there was a time set for no tour groups - but what can you do - its the British Museum!

No other museum can even be in the same category.
No other museum can even be in the same category. Everywhere I looked I was in awe. I even had a chance to hold a hand axe once used by Homo erectus some 400,000 years ago (I think his name was Fred).

Amazing museum, well organised and full of interesting stories. Plus it's free! (except for the temporary shows) I really recommend to stop by, pick up the map at the entry and just get lost in history!

Excellent place with something for everyone, but don't...
Excellent place with something for everyone, but don't expect to see it all in a couple of hours. The collection is huge. Don't bother with the non- museum touted tours or 'mystery' tours. Not worth the money and you only get a sheet of paper and a pencil - then you're on your own. Better , especially if you have kiddies, to check if the museum run sessions are on, they are much better. The food here is a rip off.
The location was fantastic, close to the International train station, close to bars and restuarants; Also, a walking distance to a tube station, Oxford Circus or British Museum;
The internet signal was strong;
The location of the flat was great for exploring London; and we especially liked being right in the middle of a charming neighborhood where actual Londoners lived. Many wonderful pubs and restaurants nearby, with major sights, such as the British Museum and Wallace Collection within a 20-minute walk.
Thomas was an excellent host and his communication was stellar. Quaint, clean and cozy place with an excellent location to Covent Gardens, shopping, the British Museum and the tube. Hope to stay there again soon.
A great place close to St Pancras International and Kings Cross Terminals. Everything is new, clean and shiny. The kitchenette has all you need to cook food you can buy in a supermarket nearby. There were other people staying in the hotel, but we could hardy hear anyone. The location is great, with the British Museum just 5 min walk away
Surprisingly affordable hostel considering the great location and London prices. Right next to British Museum, close to multiple metro lines.
Kitchen has everything needed, showers and toilets were clean.
Secure building and rooms.
Beds and linens clean and comfortable.
