We found the hotel restaurant warm and welcoming. It is a 3 minute walk from the train station and with all the luggage for us and baby that was a relief.
The cottage we stayed in was fascinating. We didn’t find out for sure, but I’m sure it was built in the 1800s and the small stairs upstairs to the wonky landing must be authentic.
It was so clean and beds so comfortable my my daughter (who gets up lots with her baby) said it was the best sleep in ages!)

Lovely Victorian hotel set in the beautiful Perthshire countryside. The room was fine for a few nights, bathroom was adequate but lacking storage. All staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel is within walking distance to Blair Castle which is superb both inside and out. It's close to The Old Mill which serves delicious home bakes and light lunches. Only a short drive from Pitlochry which is well worth a visit and also the golf club which serves good food and has lovely views.
Spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Easy car parking on the drive. Ducks in the garden. We enjoyed the spooky trains passing. 12 minute drive to Pitlochry. A few minutes walk into Blair Castle. Highly recommended. We never return to the same place but it’s so good that we are talking about booking it again.
Such kind staff. We arrived three hours later than anticipated due to a bad traffic accident and they kindly kept the cooks 10 minutes late so that we could have dinner. The hotel itself is lovely and stately. It’s a proper hunting manor with all kinds of stuffed beasts. The room was adorable and very comfortable. Very nice area to walk around in and easy walk to Blair Castle.
