Houndgate Townhouse, hotel in Darlington

Thought to date back to the 1770s, Houndgate Townhouse provides an elegant setting for luxurious en suite accommodation in central Darlington.

The location was central to the town centre. No parking available though- we parked in a nearby multi storey car park with good rates (a nearer one was more expensive).

Stayed as we attended at gig at Darlington Arena. Staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we received a good customer service. They were very helpful providing some drinks and food when returned late to the hotel after the gig. Rooms were clean and spacious, restaurant and bar with a wide range of food and drinks. Short taxi journey from hotel to arena or town centre - £7.00 - £10.00 fare. Superb hotel!
