The reception and staff were attentive and accommodating 10/10, and a perfect welcome was received. The grounds were beautiful even on a murky day.
The rooms were, as you would expect for an old property, however for the price paid one would expect a small tv or refrigerator in the room. The beds and bedding were superb insomuch as both comfortable and exceptionally crisp and clean. However the rooms (we hadbooked 2 rooms for the stay) were quite cold at night time.
The restaurant in itself was a delight, staff superb and the food second to none both in quality, presentation and brought out hot.
We would definitely visit again but to dine only.

The manor is outstanding, we had a classic room very spacious. However, a trail of dust around the edges of the bedroom, hair grips by the bed head. Mould on the external windows. The bathroom tiles are barely holding up, mastic and grout mouldy. The bath bottom is like sand paper. The shower screen was clean, at least, but it is in need of a major renovation. Stayed for 2 nights, we're above the kitchen, until midnight all you could hear was their music and the crashing around, obviously they have door's open and some noise unavoidable. I did complain, 2nd night, let's see what happens. The swimming pool can only be used 7 to 10 am or 5 to 9 pm, but on checking out, you can apparently use those facilities until 4 pm. I doubt that is the case. Spa treatments are nice but overpriced and cut short, I wouldn't book again. Overall, the place is dirty in many areas, attention to detail lacking, and at first glance, it looks wonderful. I feel let down a treat for my daughter's 18th but not a good lasting memory.
