I spent two and a half hours walking round the grounds and still hadn't seen it all. Went in autumn when the trees still had beautiful colours and the roses still had their scent. Loved the little shops and there is the most wonderful book shop.

Only visited gardens, which were superb, even at the end of summer, into autumn season. Happy surprise to come across little booth selling coffee and snacks right in the middle. Helpful gardener in long greenhouse. Quirky shell grotto with fountain that balances a crown on top. Italian gardens, borders, productive beds, lawn maze, topiary, all very beautiful.

We went for peace and quiet, and it was just the job. Rife Cabin looks out over the fields and trees, with not a soul around. We were met by Sally on the way in, and she was so welcoming. An unexpected bonus was the Ship and Anchor across the road. We planned to cook for ourselves, and ending up not doing as the pub was great! After dinner we took a stroll along the river, with views all the way over to Arundel Castle. All rounded off by a sunset in the cabin’s hot tub with a glass of bubbles. Top notch.

Location is amazing, so central. We were lucky to park just outside the property. Cottage was lovely with a great little garden with comfortable garden furniture. Decor is lovely and homely. Small cottage but everything done to maximise the space. Perfect for 2-4 people, would be a squeeze for 6, unless you are out most of the day. There is a handy Co Op 6 minute walk away, so easy to get groceries. Arundel Castle entrance is also about a 6 min walk away and there are lots of nice places to eat in town.

The room was beautiful and clean, beds were very comfortable, and the view of the countryside was very nice. The breakfast was tasty, the staff was friendly, and we loved the lovely romantic garden there. Arundel Castle is very close, the train station is one minute from hotel.

Location was brilliant for a short walk into town. We loved its bijou size and sense of history, alongside a modern bathroom and kitchen, which made it easy to relax. The courtyard garden was a lovely sun trap for an early evening drink. It's only a short walk to the fields behind Arundel Castle, which made walking the dog locally an easy and pleasurable experience.

New apartment, so floor is new. Everything is fresh & new. Comfy seats. Big fridge & freezer. Could hear a train or car only if window open. Secure entrance. & the area felt safe. Walked to Arundel castle safely thru public footpath by train station. The castle is excellent -a must-see! Learned so much. A really nice place to stay. Loved the green sofa. Bed was comfy.

A stylish, small hotel with only a few fancy rooms. Our room had a direct view of the Arundel Castle and a canopy, very comfortable bed. The staff were super kind and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and varied enough. Additionally, we appreciated a little chat with the host each morning. This lovely place can be definitely recommended.

classic styling with lots of statues, classy bookcases (books in our room, yay) - beautiful banisters, tall mirrors, BE Aware if tall: do not book 3rd floor as whole corridor under 6ft height; they managed to move us thankfully. Comfy room, leaded glass windows, thick towels and a fan (last day we'll need that till springtime!) Very kind helpful reception. Great decor throughout, interesting historic quotes throughout. Lovely courtyard! Hotel is right on the high street just yards down from beautiful Arundel Castle
