Lydie met us on arrival, and briefly showed us around. The gite is in a quiet rural location, felt very tranquil and safe. We went on a nice walk in the evening, Puychevrier is a beautiful place.

Philippe and Guadalupe provided an extremely generous and delicious breakfast: prosciutto, baguette, croissants, chocolatine, fresh fruit, orange or apple juice, delicious coffee. They joined us for breakfast also and told us the interesting history of the castle. We’ve been touring Europe for months and this was one of the best, if not the best, holiday places we’ve stayed in. What a wonderful experience! We would highly recommend this extraordinary place managed by equally extraordinary and wonderful people!
