The hotel is absolutely charming! The staff are warm and welcoming, and spoke perfect English, The room was stylish and comfortable. Being away from the main roads, it was very quiet - yet just a few minutes walk from Note Dame. We enjoyed the breakfast - the coffee was especially good, and the lady who served it was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a quiet, discreet place to stay - really amazing to find such an oasis of calm in the middle of such a busy city as Paris.

This hotel has a great location - I was able to walk to all the places I wanted to go - Louvre, St.Germain, Place de la Concorde etc. The staff were very pleasant and helpful especially Miguel & Jeremy. The rooms are handsomely decorated and the bathrooms were exceptional! - all was well - my only issues were the lack of carpets occasionally made it noisy when upstairs guests moved chairs and a very few times the internet was not up to par which is frustrating.

The cathedral is closed, after being ravaged by fire on April 15, 2019, so it is undergoing restoration you only can see it from outside and part of it its cover with scaffolding. It looks like it could be open on June 8, 2025.

**Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris: A Symbol of Beauty and Resilience**
Notre Dame Cathedral, a timeless masterpiece of Gothic architecture, is a symbol of Paris's rich history and enduring spirit. This majestic cathedral, with its stunning facade, intricate sculptures, and majestic bell towers, is a testament to the skill and artistry of its creators.
Stepping inside Notre Dame is like stepping into a different world—a world of beauty, serenity, and spiritual transcendence. The cathedral's soaring ceilings, magnificent stained glass windows, and ornate decorations create an atmosphere of awe and reverence.
Despite the devastating fire in 2019 that damaged much of the cathedral, Notre Dame remains a symbol of resilience and hope. Efforts to restore and rebuild this iconic monument are a testament to the strength and determination of the people of Paris and the world.
A visit to Notre Dame Cathedral is not just a visit to a historic landmark—it's a journey through time and a celebration of human achievement. It's a place where the past meets the present, and where the spirit of Paris shines bright.

It's still under restoration so you can't enter, but worth going to take a look. They have fencing around the church explaining the whole process and there are many restaurants around to choose from. Great area to sit and people watch.

Keep in mind this is Paris, crowds are a necessary evil.
Keep in mind this is Paris, crowds are a necessary evil. However, some spots are worse than others. We found that the most crowded places were the Notre Dame church and the Champs-Elysees (specially on the blocks nearest the Arc). For us, the jewel of the city is without doubt the Eiffel Tower, and luckily its gardens are so wide that the crowds end up spreading enough so that everyone has enough space, even for picnics (going up the tower is an entirely different matter, though!). Also, strolling the streets and parks can be less crowded, you just have to avoid the main streets near the main landmarks. Try the Luxembourg Garden or the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood.

Notre Dame is second to none, queues for the tower was very long, as was, the queue for confessions. Recommend going in the early morning and buying tickets for the tower in advance.
