Lovely small hotel on the edge of town in a residential area but only 10 minutes from Chateau Chambord, the reason for our stay. Staff very helpful. Breakfast on the terrace and a big choice of good quality. Room on the smaller size but good bathroom with large walk-in shower. Would recommend.

it was a family suit in the amazing old building, decorated in a great way. Windows were looking at the Blois castle, and we had a feeling that we were living in the castle itself. we had an amazing breakfast there, and host was very welcoming and attentive.

So it was with La Forge du Roy. It seemed from the beginning that it is a nice and neat space but, I assure you that when you come here you will be surprised! A historic building right next to Blois Castle, RIGHT NEXT. Our room was full of authentic things and so atmospheric you felt like you were traveling hundreds of years back in time!
The room was very spacious, with a separate seating area, tv, and minifridge. The breakfast was homemade. The property is located in front of the Blois castle. The rooms are decorated according to different art periods/styles. The staff was friendly.
Very nice classic French style hotel, just one step away from the Blois castle and tourist area. The decoration easily takes you back into the magnificence of Renaissance Kings (& Queens) from bedroom to breakfast lounge and reception hall.
A must booking if you want to add up some magical historical touch for a short stop-over stay in Blois.
