The breakfast options were good and the staff attentive. The furnishings in the main house were first class and creative. Perhaps best was the location within Amboise. There were quick short walks to important sites, good access to an abundance of shops and restaurants. Rooms in the main building were larger than the cottage we stayed in.
Housed in a mansion dating from the 17th century, Le Clos d'Amboise is surrounded by a large landscaped garden in the heart of Amboise.

The property close to everything is Amboise. The property grounds are beautiful. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food and service were excellent.

Located in a quiet neighborhood but a very close drive to the main town and restaurants. Parking was easy and available. Rooms were clean. Staff was kind but not overly friendly. We did not spend a lot of time in our rooms, but they were comfortable and as expected for room size in Eurrope.

Mid-October is probably out of season which was why there...
Mid-October is probably out of season which was why there could only have been about 6 other people there when we were. Just take your time going round - the chateau rooms with the background music are wonderful. And then the grounds are so well kept.
