- The hotel location was very secluded, in the middle of a forest and out of nowhere. Don't expect to find local stores/shops, cafes/restaurants or gas stations within 5 km. The nearest one was Lieksa town about 30km from the hotel.
- The exterior was old as well as the interior. Nonetheless, it looks like the owner has tried slowly to renew everything to make a good impression on his guests. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the TV worked as it should. The cleanliness was also superb.
- The owner greeted his guests and was very helpful in giving information about the surrounding area.
- The hotel has facilities to do activities indoors or outdoors. They also have a sauna and swimming pool to use.

Great stay right next to the park. The host Katri was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was a delicious assortment of local treats. Highly recommend.
Cozy wooden cottage with sauna and terrace, great location right next to Koli national park hiking paths, amazing and refreshing swimming in the lake around 150m near the cottage.. It has everything you need for a proper Finnish vacation
The view, the wooden sauna, the grill area, and the surrounding area. Koli National Park is a beautiful place to visit but for me, the view from the cottage was even better than the ones from the famous viewpoints in Koli. You have an inmense piece of land for yourself with direct access to a clean, clear, and calm Finnish lake. The real Finnish experience doesn't get any better than this. I hope I can come back to this place in the future. I can highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit this part of Finland.
